The Essential Grooming Procedure...

Yes, every one of us had our first day, our first time, at every single thing we have ever learned so...WELCOME to the horse world! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

In our Essential Grooming Kit the saddle soap and sponge are the basic cleaning materials for your leather. Leather conditioners can be added. In grooming, the black curry comb is used first and used in a circular motion to loosen the dirt and hair. This is followed by the stiff red brush to remove the dirt and hair. The brown brush (a "dandy" brush) is considered a finishing brush which you use to go over the coat once more. It picks up the fine loose hair and leaves the coat clean. The white brush is the face brush, nice and soft. As time goes on there are other great grooming tools to add. I have a large box that is overflowing (like my kitchen gadget drawer!). There are shedding blades which help get out the heavy winter coats and "groomas" which act like curries but give more of a massage at the same time (one for the body and a soft one for the face), etc. etc. Your kit has all the "Essentials", so relax and have fun with your horse. They love being groomed, wouldn't you!!??
